November 17, 2025, Albion Falls (View from Mountain Brow Boulevard)

From the Mountain Brow Side Trail, you get a high, panoramic view of Albion Falls as it steps down the Niagara Escarpment. The cascade fans out over wide rock shelves, creating that classic tiered flow. It’s an easy viewpoint to reach, and the mix of forest, escarpment cliffs, and the steady sound of water makes it a beautiful place to pause and take it in. A great way to see one of Hamilton’s signature waterfalls from above, without the crowds.

This is a fantastic bridge over Sixteen Mile Creek. As you walk across, the clear, shallow creek is quiet, slowly flowing under your feet. The banks are full of greenery on both sides, and if you look upstream, you'll see the creek winding through the valley, beautifully surrounded by forest and blue skies.

Great spot for a rest stop along the waterfront trail. There are many benches on the east side of the harbour with great views of the lighthouse and the boats launching across the Credit River

This is not the hike that you get "lost" in the nature, but it's a decent short hike. I like it because it's a loop from a car park.

Nice sitting area out back. Bring your bike round back for security and enter from the rear of the cafe.

Wear a mask in the spring early summer. Lots of fish flies.

Busy spot with lots of oblivious pedestrians. Slow down, ring bell. Downhill will get you going faster than you should.
