Just outside of Farmington, there is a ski area at Titcomb Mountain. The ski hill has two lifts and a handful of greens, blues, and blacks. Titcomb Mountain is affordable and family-oriented. There is a cafeteria and fire pit to relax at while the kids are taking classes. In the summer, the area is home to amazing cycling trails and large meadows of wildflowers.

The ride up to Quill Hill leads along a hard packed dirt road that meanders through forest with clearings along the way. Once you reach the peak, you will find a nice picnic area and fantastic 360-degree views.

With an elevation just above 1,600 feet, Center Hill is one of the lower peaks in the Mount Blue State Park. Its biggest advantage: you can reach the peak by car and will find a nice little loop on top of the mountain, so this one is perfectly suited for families or if you feel like only taking a little stroll. There are several benches and small picnic areas located on the peak.

Bald Mountain is a popular peak in Franklin County, Maine. There are several trails to get to, with none of them being too difficult. There is a picnic table sheltered by the rocks and a tall fire lookout/viewing platform that you can walk up to get amazing views above the tree line.
