Sometimes, the bridge closes to allow boat traffic through. While waiting can be a bit dull, it’s always fun to watch the bridge rise and all the people queuing to go across.

One of many bridges in this region giving perfect Norwegian views. Used for the 2017 World Road Race Champs to try and split the group up in the wind, all we got was beautiful views! Oh well.

A great view of Bergen from one of the key climbs and moments of the 2017 World Championship Road Race. Can you spot Peter Sagan?

Small side road that is also part of the Bergen-Norheimsund cycle route. A little off the main route with a beautiful view.

Nicer view than in the tunnel and it's not as loud. The better option, especially going uphill.

Wide, top surface, separated from the road. You can relax here, even if the Norwegians drive very carefully and overtake from a distance 👍🏼 But since you are mostly on routes that are also very busy, a section like this is a good place to take a break.

By going through the tunnel you get an even better view of the waterfall and going uphill you are slow enough for that 😉
