Sweet's Monument is a memorial plaque to Edwin F. Sweet. Edwin Sweet was a big part of the Grand Rapids community in the 1800's. When Mr. Sweet's friend William Jack donated 40 acres to the park, he requested that a monument be set up in his friend's honor.
