It’s the easiest trailhead to get to. Some cars won’t make it coming from the east. It’s also the starting and ending point of the 24hHOP.

A quieter area of Hawes, we saw no other riders, only 1 hiker. It's worth the effort to head round the back of the main trail area.

Lost Goldmine is a 3-mile black diamond single track near Gold Canyon, with a 437-ft climb and awesome views of the Superstition Mountains. It’s a tough ride with no man-made features, but the scenery makes it worth it. The trail is multi-use, so watch out for hikers and horses. You can park at the east end of Cloudview Road—just remember, no water or restrooms, so come prepared! You can find other short MTB trails connected to this one and do your own path exploring the area.

Great view from the Casa Grande Mountain Park over the surrounding valley. The trail to get up to the viewpoint is moderately challenging and crosses multiple paths, so make sure you have enough water and a GPS or map.

Even though this trail is mostly flat, its first half requires good cardio and technical skills to tackle its narrow section. It is a fun half-mile effort and probably one of the best trails in the area.

You will find a few dozen miles of great tracks around Fortified Peak. This is where the TMC Health 24h in the Old Pueblo, one of the largest 24h mountain biking event in the world, takes place. You can find more info about the race on the event's website, but that guarantees you some fun riding in the area. Website: https://epicrides.com/events/24-hours-in-the-old-pueblo/event-guide/
