A segment of the north-east loop around Qiandaohu that is primarily reserved for biking. It turns off the main G330 highway (which continues in a large loop), takes you up a gentle slope, offers great views from a bridge and takes you through a tunnel before merging back to the highway.

The Tunnel Art Museum is a cluster of tunnels that showcase contemporary art. Xianlanwu Tunnel is the Tunnel Art Museum No 1. Going along this bike route clockwise it is actually the second tunnel. You first pass through Maoling Tunnel, which is also part of this project. Both tunnels are bike only tunnels on a unique bike route around the north-east of Qiandaohu.

This arch bridge is a key element of the Qiandaohu Ring Road and connects Chun’An with Wutong, Tongziwu and other areas around the lake. It has a total length of 330m and a net span of 308m. Its color stands out against the surrounding green areas. And I read that the technical description for this bridge is: medium-supported concrete-filled steel tubular catenary arch bridge. There you go ;-)

If you go on the north-east loop, the large 140km loop, or just in the hilly area to the west, you are most likely to cross this bridge in/out of Chun’An Town. It does not have a bike lane, and the sidewalk doesn’t look like a reasonable option.
