The tour around the Grand Canal allows you to follow its contours closely, with beautiful views of the Park and the Château. But it is also often very busy with many pedestrians, watch out for collision risks. A good alternative is to take the roads connecting the 4 extremities (a bit of geometry: the shape of the Grand Canal forms a cross, these are the diagonals of the rhombus to be drawn by connecting the vertices). It is much less crowded, and you will find the Grand Canal at each extremity.
