Nice hiking/cycling route from Rekken to Oldenkotte. Cross the Slinge en route with the hand-operated ferry. Let the muscles do some work. Have lunch in Oldenkotte on either side of the border. Walk or cycle back along the route in reverse order.

Very nice and easy-to-use ford. Next to it is also a ford for horses, among others.

A funny way to cross the Slinge. I must admit, though, that it's quite tough going. It doesn't go very smoothly.

Situated in a unique location on the outskirts of Eibergen, you'll find Het Muldershuis, a Saxon farmhouse dating back to 1753. Next to the Mallumse Mill, which is still in operation every Saturday, you can enjoy a drink, lunch, or dinner. The terraces can seat approximately 200 people, either by the water or in the garden, overlooking the Mallumse. Inside, you can relax by the fireplace, in the upstairs room, or in the cozy barge café. Source: https://eibergen.nl/het-muldershuis
