In the summer, when there are cows, you have to stop at a myriad of wires to open and close, really annoying....otherwise it's a wonderful route.

from Airolo to Bascia over the Sonnenpass, a great tour and beautiful. You should be fit though. There is a break after 30km in the Sport-Spa Hotel and the bikes are also looked after
