In Catalan, Estany Negre is the first large lake that we find if we come from the Cavallers reservoir. With its almost 700 meters in length, it extends to the foot of the Ventosa and Calvell Refuge. Around it we will see impressive peaks, among which the Agujas de Travessani stand out especially.

The shelter is not put up until early June; until then, we will be able to use the facilities, taking into account that there are only 6 places. There are those who carry the sleeping bag and a mat to sleep on the ground when there is no space. In summer reservations are recommended. Also from here we will have a privileged view of Estany Negre and we will see the signs to follow the Carros de Foc route.
