Röbel's town hall, located on the central market square, is a listed building dating back to 1805, erected on the site of earlier structures that had either burned down or fallen into disrepair. The two-story, rectangular plastered building with seven window axes features a striking central projection with a triangular gable. An extension was added to the building around 1900, and extensive renovations were carried out between 1998 and 1999. Historical elements such as an old detention cell, carved carpenter's marks, granite steps, and cobblestones were uncovered and restored. Together with St. Nicholas Church, the town hall defines the architectural center of Röbel's new town and serves as an important landmark for visitors to the town.
