New bridge with a separate cycle path. The old one is out of use.

The cycle path is well-suited for commuting or short rides towards the city center or further south, but it's not particularly idyllic. You ride here more efficiently than beautifully – with some traffic noise and typical big-city character. On the other hand, the route is practical, relatively direct, and now quite well connected to the city's cycle network.

New Chrobrego Bridges (opened in October 2023) The new bridges were built right next to the old ones (on their western side) to take over all vehicular, pedestrian, and – most importantly – tram traffic. These are two modern, multi-span steel structures, prestressed with concrete, built over two Oder canals: Swojczycki (Navigational) and Powodziowy (Flood). They are approximately 186 m and 153 m long, respectively.

The bridge was built in the years 1912–1917 during the major reconstruction of the Wrocław waterway and the construction of a new canal system: the Flood Canal and the Navigation Canal. It is a steel bridge with a truss structure, resting on massive, concrete abutments clad in granite. It consists of three spans, and its most characteristic element are the massive, riveted arches rising above the roadway, typical of industrial infrastructure from the early 20th century.

The MiG 29 fighter jet with tail number 115 previously flew in the 22nd Tactical Air Base in Malbork (it also previously served in Mińsk Mazowiecki). The Technical University acquired it at the end of 2023 (the official presentation and opening of the new part of the laboratory took place at the beginning of 2024). It is a powerful, twin-engine, fourth-generation fighter jet.

The SU 22 aircraft with tail number 8512 (produced in the mid-80s) served for years in the 21st Tactical Air Base in Świdwin. After being withdrawn from operational service, in December 2014, it was transferred to the Wrocław University of Science and Technology by the Military Property Agency for didactic and scientific purposes.

The first weir in this place was built during the great regulation of the Oder River at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (in the years 1891–1897) as a needle weir. In the years 1981–1985, the structure underwent a complete modernization. The old mechanism was replaced with a modern sector weir with three spans.

The main task of the Opatowice weir is to control the water flow in the Oder River. It is responsible for directing the appropriate amount of water to the Flood Channel and the Navigation Channel (towards Barthel / Bartoszowice), thereby protecting the center of Wrocław from flooding, while maintaining the correct water level for urban navigation.
