Road cycling around Berzdorfer Lake features a landscape shaped by its past as an open-pit lignite mine, now dominated by one of Saxony's largest lakes. The region offers well-developed infrastructure for cyclists, including a nearly completely asphalted 16-kilometer trail encircling the lake. This path provides consistent views of the water and surrounding natural features. Elevations are generally low, with the distant Landeskrone mountain providing a backdrop rather than significant climbs on the immediate lake circuit.

Beautiful nature-connected bike tour with beautifully laid out rest stops. The bike path itself is easy to ride on, and in the nature reserve, there is a 3 km stretch of gravel path that is good to walk on. A detour to the monastery in Ostritz integrates well with the bike tour, and those who manage can continue to Hirschfelde. Beautiful bike tour of almost 50 km.

The tower directly on the Neisse bridge is a grain silo for a former mill there. Otherwise, it is a beautiful promenade to the next bridge. There are some nice restaurants.

Onwards and onwards, what awaits us now is absolutely impressive. We reach the Kelchstein and the Kelchsteinwächter. They stand out not only for their impressive shape but also for their reddish color. If it is Bunter Sandstein, the red coloring results from the embedded iron oxide hydrate. Fantastic what nature has created here, let's walk around it and now see the whole formation from the other side. We are not the only ones who can hardly stop marveling. With these impressions, we move on, next awaits us the Torwächter, followed by the Elefantenkopf, with its large stone tusks. https://youtu.be/N2GgTh6HEzQ
