As long as the danger spots in Ipsheim and Oberndorf are not eliminated, I cannot recommend the Aischtalradweg further. For example, having to cross the B470 at least 3 to 4 times with the family and then riding a few hundred meters directly on the B470 does not meet the requirements of a family-friendly cycle path. And also in Birkenfeld and Neustadt/Aisch, the Aischtalradweg has dangerous sections where you have to ride with particular concentration and caution.

The Kreuzweiher actually consists of four ponds, which are separated in a cross shape by the St 2411 and the street "Am Kreuzweiher". The ponds are located between the vocational college/professional college with the Storchenweiher and the White Castle with three further ponds. The Kreuzweiher, together with five other ponds in Triesdorf, are managed by the specialist advisory service for fisheries of the Middle Franconia district. The Kreuzweiher were created at the beginning of the 18th century for fish farming and for the pleasure of the Margrave. Here, one could be taken around in Venetian gondolas. Today, mirror carp and crayfish are found in the Kreuzweiher.

In Ornbau, we noticed crocheted lace doilies and blankets stretched across the streets. This is apparently an artistic initiative by the city following the motto "Slow Art instead of Fast Fashion"! The lace fits perfectly with the ambiance of the old town and is a striking example of how art doesn't have to be elitist, but can also come from everyday life. Many older citizens, in particular, have contributed significantly to this decoration. Great respect for such a creative community project!
