I recommend not riding up this lane due to dangerously out of control dogs allowed to roam free on the road. I was hounded by 3 dogs for 400m

A medieval market and fair town which has been settled since Roman times Newent is a pretty little town with some interesting old buildings including the grade 1 listed 13th century Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
