The public footpath through Manor Farm is no longer accessible as it is now private land and the roadway is blocked with electrically operated gates. You can detour around it via a bridleway.

Windrush is another idyllic, quintessentially English rural village and is well worth a visit.

Another beautiful, ancient church and listed building in the Cotswolds. So much history all around us.

Tried to find more information about these fascinating buildings. No luck so far. Can anybody help?

This a route correction rather than a 'highlight'. The public road shown on the original route is no longer public. The road has been blocked off by an electronically operated gate and is now the private property of Manor Farm. I retraced my steps and took the Sabrina Bridleway which is at the entrance to this road off the main road on the right. The bridleway takes you the long way round but is a pleasant addition to the original route.

Little Rissington is quite a tiny village, even in Cotswolds standards, and displays a unique set of beautiful cottages and farmhouses. There is also a red phone box library and village church.

Can I bring my dog on the hikes?

Dogs are generally welcome on public footpaths around Barrington. However, the Cotswolds is a farming landscape, so you will likely encounter livestock.
