Visited on a Sunday afternoon, staff were absolutely wonderful. They were serving Sunday roasts but also had other food available, the soup was delicious and helped us complete our ride!

Rotherwick is a village and civil parish in the Hart district of Hampshire, England. It has a large village hall, erected in 1933 through charity of 1931 by an American couple in memory of their son Charles De Forest. Its small church with side chapels has a whitewashed interior and many high open timber roof trusses. [...] It has a side chapel, the Tylney Chapel. [...] Its structure dates to the 13th century, with an 18th-century tower. A 2012-installed stained glass window celebrates 300 years of neighbouring Whitewater C of E Primary school. The Church of England Primary School thus dates to 1712. Cit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotherwick

Sherfield on Loddon is always good for a coffee stop.

The Iron Duke is a friendly hostelry, situated on the outskirts of Stratfield Saye. There are many Kms of quiet lanes that I always have enjoyed over many years, going off in various directions. Definitely worth a visit, whether for a beer or just a coffee.

A delightful coffee stop, especially after their post-COVID restructuring, which includes plenty of outside seating (with shade parasols). Choice of coffee and cakes is good. Very popular but I've never not been able to get seated. And, it's open all day on Sundays, which is quite unusual. If there is any negatives, it is location! Positioned very close to the busy A33, it is best accessed from nearby much quieter lanes with a short detour. Riding on the A33 is unpleasant!

***Update October 2025 - After about 18 months of closure it's back! Only open on Sundays and Wednesdays at the moment (also Bank Holidays), but it's back nonetheless.*** Friendly country pub. Has a drinking water tap in the garden and barman was keen to let me know that they're happy for this to be used out of hours. Probably best not to take the p!ss, but good to know.

Highly HIGHLY recommend this place. I'm usually underwhelmed by cafe stops, but this place absolutely nailed it! Super friendly, efficient staff; delicious food in big portions (I couldn't even finish my sandwich) and plenty of places to rest your bike with lots of outdoor seating, which even has heating so you don't have to worry about getting cold! Excellent
