Montizón Castle is a historic fortification located in the municipality of Villamanrique, in the province of Ciudad Real. Built in the 13th century, this castle belonged to the Order of Santiago and was the residence of the poet Jorge Manrique. The castle is located in a strategic position above the Guadalén River, taking advantage of a natural cut in the hill where it is located. The keep, one of its most outstanding structures, is built on solid rock and offers impressive views of the surroundings.
