This unique refuge is located in the middle of the mountains, at an altitude of 1,700 meters and about 7 kilometers from the urban center. It is a simple building, constructed during the 20th century using the mountainside and made with local materials. It has a rectangular floor plan and two stories with individual entrances. Originally it was the home of the forest ranger, until in 1985 it was rehabilitated by the General Directorate of Architecture of the Community of Madrid, to be used as a mountain refuge.
