The Rennweg near Breitbrunn in the Haßberge district of Lower Franconia is a historic high trail known for its tranquility and expansive views over the Haßberge Nature Park. The path formerly served as an important ridge connection for express messengers and couriers. It is considered the „little counterpart“ to the famous Thuringian Rennsteig. The entire Haßberge Rennweg stretches for about 65 kilometers. Near Breitbrunn, it is today a popular destination for: Hikes, which invite you to find peace away from the hustle and bustle. Mountain biking and gravel biking on the wooded sections. Directly near the Rennweg is the well-known Kreuzweg Breitbrunn, which addresses the regional tradition of sandstone quarries. From certain points at the Rennweg signposts, there are also striking views over the region. The path runs northwest/southeast along the ridge. From Breitbrunn, it is easily accessible via local hiking trails.

Ebelsbach Castle is a two-part Renaissance complex located in the center of Ebelsbach (Haßberge district, Lower Franconia). The historic property was severely damaged in a major fire in September 2009 and was originally scheduled to be rebuilt.
