Despite its small-town appearance, El Pueyo de Jaca is a locality with great historical importance through the centuries. It is located elevated above the confluence of the rivers, hence its name, from the Latin podium. Therefore, it played a fundamental role in the control of the Tena valley, of which it was the administrative center. As if that were not enough, the Royal Road of the Tena Valley also passes through the locality. If you pass through El Pueyo de Jaca, enjoy its natural surroundings and its traditional Pyrenean architecture.

A 28 km long but not particularly difficult climb. The heavy traffic is annoying and there is no shoulder after the tunnel behind Escarrilla, but the panorama is still first-class!
