A small village with rural charm and a deep historical flavor, located on a hill among fields of grain and almond trees. Its medieval defensive tower stands out at the top of the town, the remains of an ancient fortification that still rise above the landscape. Quiet streets, a good fountain, and access via dirt tracks ideal for mountain biking or gravel riding. The perfect spot to stop for a rest, refuel with water, and enjoy the silence of the most authentic Hoya de Huesca.

The infamous church of gravel as we called it. Nice to look at, and conveniently placed next to great gravel roads and even a single track!

The church of San Martín de Foces is a linear Gothic style temple from the 14th century. It was ordered to be built by Ximeno de Foces in 1249 as a family pantheon, and later donated to the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. It is the only vestige of the ancient town of Foces, and was declared a National Monument in 1916. It is highly appreciated for the sarcophagi and the fresco paintings located in the side arms of the temple.

Old section of railway that crossed Huesca. Today it is enabled as a greenway where you can walk or ride a bicycle, taking advantage of the old railway platform from which the sleepers have been removed. Few shadows.

The Vadiello dam floods the Guatizalema river canyon and its surrounding areas, creating a spectacular landscape. The sheet of turquoise water surrounded by imposing rock formations is one of the best postcards of the Sierra de Guara.

The conjuraderos are small religious constructions typical of Aragon where, in the past, the priests of the towns officiated ceremonies to ward off storms or evil spirits. Currently, they are curious shady buildings very well located in natural spaces.

This church is declared as a national monument. It is isolated, in the middle of the field and with the Sierra de Guara as the only reference, in the background. It was ordered to be built as a family pantheon by Ximeno de Foces in the 13th century. This family was also the builder of the Valencia Cathedral. To visit its interior, contact the Ibieca City Council.
