It is crossed by the Rue d'Aligre and the Rue de Cotte and is also accessible via the Rue Emilio-Castelar, the Rue Théophile-Roussel and the Rue Beccaria. It is the center of the historic and popular Parisian district, called the Aligre district, which itself is more or less part of the Quinze-Vingts administrative district. On this square (as well as in the Rue d'Aligre) the Aligre market takes place every day except Monday. The second-hand dealers gather outside, in a semicircle on the eastern half of the square, in the middle of which stands the small town hall. The Beauvau market, a covered market, is located on the western half of the square, rectangular.

Hello or good evening, This hike should not be attempted under any circumstances! The route is impassable: It crosses fields and private property. Furthermore, the beautiful old lock looks more like a brand-new lock. I say "looks like" because it's impossible to get close to it; everything is ugly fenced for a long distance. And as for the paths that are actually field edges, I didn't count the number of hunters' lodges. I felt like I was in an American horror movie set in the heart of Cajun territory; there was even a live pigeon in a trap to serve as bait for... What? A fox, maybe? I also didn't count the astounding number of cut trees and debris on the verges!

Located a few steps from a bend in the Grand Morin, the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, in the former hamlet of La Chapelle-sur-Crécy, is reputed to be the second most beautiful church in Brie. Just after the imposing Saint-Etienne Cathedral in Meaux Built in the 13th century, it has unique architectural elements such as an apse vault composed of 12 branches that gives a lot of lightness to the interior of the building. With a total height of 19m under the keystone, the walls of the building have three successive rows of windows and stained glass windows, giving the interior of the building an incomparable luminosity. Located on the edge of the old Nationale 34, the royal road, the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption still dominates the valley of the Grand Morin and the small washhouse of the Vaudessard stream. Rarely open to the public, even if its interior remains visible, it occasionally serves as a concert hall.
