Rothenburg is considered one of Germany's best-preserved medieval old towns, and the first glimpse of the half-timbered facades around the market square immediately shows you why. If you have some time, a walk along the completely preserved town wall is worthwhile. From above, you'll see the old town's roofscape from a perspective you won't soon forget. In the early morning, the city is still quiet and almost belongs to you alone.

Technically, Lake Nassau is a flood control basin with a permanent water level. The dam is passable, and if the ground isn't too wet, the lake can be circumnavigated with a gravel bike.

A very beautiful and romantic stretch right along the banks of the Main River. On the opposite side of the Main, there's a magnificent view of the "Himmelreich" (Heavenly Kingdom). It doesn't get much better than this!

I remember the little castle in the Hofgarten from my childhood, when it was a dilapidated ruin on the road to Eichel. It was completely restored in the early 2000s and now shines in its former glory. Well worth seeing.

The Kneipp facility Werbach in Werbach is a water treading center for hydrotherapy. Kneipp therapy involves treading on the spot in cold water. The feet are completely lifted out of the water between each step. After 30 seconds, or sooner if you feel a strong chill in your feet and legs, you should leave the Kneipp pool and warm your feet and legs again. This process is repeated regularly. It is especially important to get sufficient exercise during and after Kneipp therapy to warm up the muscles. The cold water stimulates the body's circulation and promotes blood flow. It is said to help against varicose veins and strengthen the body's natural defenses.
