The part of the tour is actually a hiking trail blocked by rocks. The trail is only conditionally recommended for mountain bikers - and in either direction! You should either have a light bio-bike or an e-MTB with push assist. In any case, you need good fitness and riding technique!

At the highest point of the old connecting path from Porto Pollo to Serra di Ferro, there are several great views in all directions: to Cupabia beach, to the bay of Propiano and inland to the highest mountains.

I like it a lot but only in the direction towards Olmeto (west/east) done 90% by bike, otherwise you have to push too hard, this tour I do the opposite.

If you have the right skill level, the downhill part is definitely doable and a lot of fun. It is very blocked, rocky and rough. Where it goes uphill, it is hardly doable. For me it was great and I would do it again. My wife and daughter were less enthusiastic.

Today we "rode" our MTBs - we are not professionals, nor are we (semi-)professionals, we like to ride a lot of MTBs in our free time. But this tour is too extreme - we would call it an "MTB triathlon": riding, pushing and heaving/carrying the MTB. A very nice tour in itself, but next time we would rather hike it - the middle section over a distance of around 3 km took around 1 hour. We kept asking ourselves whether there are people who can really ride down or up something like that (the "fly-MTB" doesn't exist yet...)

Beautiful coastal trail to the Genoese tower Torra di Capanella. To get to the tower, park the bikes on the hiking trail. The way up is not mobile.
