The key is always worth a visit (gladly also after a hike or bike tour), because the food is absolutely recommendable, the service very friendly and the location at the top of the mountain with a panoramic view is magnificent. On weekends, however, a reservation is definitely advisable.

The small chapel Maria Frieden is wonderfully exposed on a hill above Mambach in the Großer Wiesental. It is clearly visible when driving through the Wiesental valley, and can be reached via Pfaffenberg. Up here, besides the magnificent view into the Großer Wiesental, you usually enjoy your peace and quiet, and benches invite you to linger. Opposite, the small hamlet of Rohrberg greets you (turn off from the Großer Wiesental in Mambach towards Todtmoos).

A mountain inn over 100 years old, offering a contemporary take on regional cuisine. In summer, the terrace boasts a beautiful view of the Wiesental valley. Our highlight was the goose menu; the other dishes were also delicious! Like the Michelin Guide, we highly recommend a visit!
