The village of "Meysendall" was first mentioned in 1459. The 1563 fire register lists seven fireplaces, i.e., households, for Meisenthal. The Thirty Years' War and the plague also significantly reduced the population here. In 2000, 91 residents lived in the village. The map of the Electorate of Trier's office from 1683 lists an oratory, i.e., a place of prayer. The chapel in honor of St. Anthony, which still exists today, was built in 1708, according to the inscription above the west portal. Source: https://www.kelberg.de/heimat/ortsteile/

Only the name "Alte Poststraße" (Old Post Street) remains as a reminder of the former post office. The post office in Rothenbach was located in a half-timbered farmhouse. The building was probably built around 1800. From here, not only letters and mail were transported, but also travelers. With the privatization of the post office, many small post offices closed. Today, the only post office in Kelberg is located at a gas station. The nearest post offices are in Adenau and Daun. Source: https://www.kuladig.de/Objektansicht/O-61939-20130304-8

Directly at the Roman villa there are seating and a table that invite you to linger. In sunny weather you should note that there is no shade and you are exposed to the sun

The grill hut is located east of Bodenbach in a small, old quarry called Steinkaul. Due to the very idyllic and quiet location outside of the village, the celebrations here are particularly romantic and stylish. The evening scenery with the illuminated rock face is particularly impressive. Rental inquiries via the local community of Bodenbach
