The building, built between 1643 and 1656[2] by master mason Pierre Léglise, is one of the few seventeenth-century villas visible in Bordeaux. It was made for Jeanne de Seurin, the widow of Pierre de Ragueneau, a councilor in the Parliament of Bordeaux, who had acquired the land in 1634 for 9,300 pounds. In 2015, the city archives left the premises to move into the hall of the general stores, and the city of Bordeaux, owner of the premises, considered selling the hotel, its future is uncertain. On the ground floor of the house is currently the VIAUD Art Gallery with changing exhibitions.

3 hours to walk just around the lake, which you barely see due to the vegetation. The only access point to the lake is the small beach where dogs are allowed on a leash. This is completely out of line with the advertised duration. There's very little view of the lake, and a lot of trash on the route, half of which is a paved bike path. A good portion passes through squats, shantytowns, garbage dumps, and other signs of human activity with little respect for nature. A good portion runs along the highway. In short, it was a disappointment for us; we don't recommend this route.

The church is a historical monument and was built in the 17th century in the Baroque style. Due to the excellent acoustics, concerts are often held here.
