Here you'll find a lovely, shady picnic area on the lakeshore. Small boats can also be rented for a trip on the lake in the summer. Children who aren't tired from cycling can continue to have fun on the playground.

The Reformed Church in Herzogenbuchsee is in the middle of the village, slightly elevated on a hill. The building rests on the ruins of a Roman villa and on the foundations of at least three older church buildings. Today's church was built in 1728 according to plans by Hans Jakob Dünz, whereby the Gothic tower was retained. The building offers one of the largest baroque sermon halls in the canton of Bern. The baptismal font, communion table and pulpit have been preserved from the time of construction. The three stained glass windows in the chancel, designed by the Vaud artist Eugène Burnand in 1911, also deserve a special mention. All three windows show the Sermon on the Mount.
