The church of Saint-Maurice, whose origins date back to the 18th century, was the chapel of the castle, hence the name of the castle chapel. Inside the church, on the right-hand side, in a bay window, there is a wall fresco of Saint James with pilgrim's cloak and staff, which was discovered during restoration work in 1999.

The tower and the property were built at the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century by the lord of the castle of Saint Maurice. After the revolution, it was sold to a private owner. Part of it was donated to the municipality in 1852. A school was then built in it. The building still belongs to the municipality today. Website: www.les-amis-42155.com (in French, English, German)
