The Villers-sur-Mer seafront offers a pleasant stroll along the beach. We discover in particular the typical Norman houses by the sea and an imposing dinosaur of greenery. Also pay attention to the signage for the Greenwich meridian, which passes through the promenade.

A hill shaped by history and war. The artillery bunkers and their 250 meters of concrete galleries are a highlight of this hill, but I think what made it so strategic during the Second World War will leave you speechless when you see it: the view.

This protected natural park is unique on the Côte Fleurie. So close to the sea, it is actually a freshwater marsh fed by the surrounding streams. You can run around the pond in the park, which makes for a nice run.

The Paleontological Museum on the western edge of the town depicts the history of Les Vaches Noires (the coastal cliffs). An explanation is given of what fossils are and how they are formed and you will see specimens found at Les Vaches Noires: molluscs, coral over 100 million years old, jaws and skulls of crocodiles, impressive teeth of marine reptiles and so on. A small room focuses on keeping meteorological data and measuring space. Skeletons hang from the ceiling and also the armchair of Ferdinand Postel (a photographer from the 198th century) is there, made of reinforced concrete decorated with fossils of ammonites and the nautilus, which all together create a nice atmosphere.

Excellent alternative to the lively coastal road, these well-gravelled paths are a pleasant connection between the seaside resorts

It is dedicated to the Greenwich meridian, the Villers-sur-Mer marsh and the fossils discovered on the site of the Vaches Noires cliffs. It is the only site in Normandy which is interested in paleontology. The museum is also equipped with a planetarium.
