The Heiligdreifaltigkeitsberg (often simply called Dreifaltigkeitsberg) is a spiritual and scenic highlight on the Goldsteig long-distance hiking trail, specifically on stage 5 (Letzau/Oberhöll to Leuchtenberg). 1. Location and Route The mountain is located near the village of Muglhof (a district of Weiden in der Oberpfalz) at an altitude of about 630 meters. Coming from Letzau or Oberhöll, the Goldsteig first leads through the forest and along the edge of the forest uphill until you reach the plateau of the Dreifaltigkeitsberg. 2. The Pilgrimage Church The heart of the mountain is the baroque pilgrimage church of the Holy Trinity. History: The current church was built in the 18th century (around 1714), although there was probably already a chapel at this location earlier. Architecture: It is a simple but atmospheric building. Inside, you will find a magnificent high altar depicting the Coronation of Mary by the Trinity.

»Willows. (wd) Only a “quite idyllic place,” according to city forester Wolfgang Winter, remains. Even the location of the former Schirchendorf farms can still be seen in the hallway. But the Skirchendorf has long since disappeared. So that it is not completely forgotten, the city of Weiden is erecting a memorial stone on Wednesday afternoon. but-already-in-the-16th-century-only-known-as-a-field-name-commemorative-stone-for-the-skirchendorf-d1156458.html
