This small church is actually an extension of a 14th-century chapel, which is believed to be the current sacristy. The church in its present form was reportedly completed in 1606 or 1628, depending on the source. In any case, it's a fairly old church for the region.

Recently inaugurated, this new Loire viewpoint was built on the rocky promontory overlooking one of the ponds. It is accessed via a staircase carved into the rock, so bicycles must be left at the bottom. Panoramic view of Île Chevalier in the foreground and Paimboeuf and the Saint-Nazaire conurbation in the background.
