Is it allowed to cross? Not sure... I did, I was looked at and greeted. But not blocked. However, it's not easy to get out on the other side, the exit is closed. It's possible to go through a small door.

At a time when bridges are legion to cross waterways, this ferry that connects Vétheuil and Lavacourt reminds us of another time. You will find more information on how to use it here: https://mairie-vetheuil.fr/tourisme-et-loisirs/vacances-vetheuil/le-bac-saisonnier.

During the Second World War, the German army chose this remote site to train its aircraft pilots. It was to house the devices that an immense concrete dome was built, which still stands solid as rock today in the Chesnay woods.
