The Saint-Pierre-et-Paul church is a Catholic church located in Hohatzenheim, magnificent panorama from the cemetery on the plain of Alsace towards Strasbourg, 👍 Built on the site of an ancient Roman temple and an 8th century sanctuary, the present church dates from the last quarter of the 12th and middle 12th centuries. It is the Salian period, the second Roman age. The interior is very conservative, almost Ottonian, but on the western facades there are already primitive traces. The church was classified as a historical monument in 1898 [1]. It was the property of the abbey of Marmoutier then of the abbey of Neuwiller-lès-Saverne.
