The Stegbrunnen is a lovely, quiet place to linger and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is also a legend about the Stegbrunnenweible: https://www.vg-syrgenstein.de/bachhagel_sage-brunnenweible.html

The building, which dates back to the 15th century, was rebuilt after it collapsed in 1658. In 1777, the tower was built according to plans by the Höchstadt city architect Franz Anton Schönherr. A sacristy closed on three sides is attached to the flat-roofed hall church with a recessed, rectangular choir. On the south side of the nave is the tower with a square floor plan, octagonal structure and a double onion dome. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariä_Himmelfahrt_(Bachhagel)
