An interesting coastal path on the cycle paths, a little less so on the road returning from Le Lavandou (fortunately, few cars today). However, the section along the coast near the salt marshes follows a road closed by a gate; the alternative is to walk along the beach, but this path is prohibited for cyclists (only doable out of season, and/or in bad weather, which means you'll encounter few pedestrians).

There are strenuous trails all the way to Gassin, and chilling out in the village – in the restaurant mile – is hard to beat!

The cycle path from Saint Maxime to Saint Tropez is a wonderful section of the coast. It's easy to master, although it gets a little busier depending on the time of day. You have wonderful views, you can always go into the sea to swim and in Saint Maxime, Port Grimaud and Saint Tropez there are numerous opportunities to stop off, eat, have an ice cream or just have a drink
