In the forest above Château D'Oron, precisely on the path "Chemin de la Pierre Blanche" (Path to the white stone), stands a somewhat creepy shelter. We wouldn't like to spend the night here in the dark. It somehow reminds us of the witch's house from "Hansel and Gretel". Puhuuuu!!!!! 👻 😱

Right next to the "Abri La Pierre Blanche" mountain hut, lies this mighty boulder. It looks like it was thrown and left there by a giant. Its special shape reminds us of a lump of soft clay that was thrown there. Over the years, it has turned into a hard stone. And what do you think?

A small pub (or coffee shop) open from spring to fall, presumably especially when the weather is nice. It's best to check Google first. The view is fantastic, and the owner is very friendly and attentive. It was perfect for a rest and some homemade food.

If the grass is tall and you crouch down at this point, you'll see that only the church steeple (left in the photo) is visible above the grass in the small town of Rue, and the castle is threatening to sink into the grass. A heavenly illusion and a great photo opportunity.
