The town of Issigeac is beautiful and enchants with its narrow streets. The Sunday market is highly recommended.

Bastide founded in 1259, Castillonnès is located on the northern edge of Lot-et-Garonne, a stone's throw from Périgord Pourpre and Bergeracois. To see: the central square surrounded by arcades, its atypical market hall and its pepper-pot bell tower.

The town of Castillonès is on a slight hill, so most of the roads leading to it are uphill, with gradients of 7%.

Nice climb to a beautiful village on a hill. Very steep, but so short that it is also over in no time.

Issigeac is a beautiful, tiny village (about 800 inhabitants) near Bergerac. The medieval center is almost complete and well preserved. Nothing is missing: church, Mairie, the market hall as well as various boulangeries and charcuteries are available. And of course a bar. Tourism has not found this place yet. Only a few other guests stroll through the streets in August 2018 as we did. Enchanting.
