The waterholes are truly breathtaking. You walk on meter-high soft moor substrate and the sounds of the underground running water are pure relaxation. You have to experience it to be believed. Then spectacular wild animals come by and graze here and when the sunset comes or there is often fog it is like from another world. Bebehmen and with a blanket just listen and wait. My very personal highlight of Corsica that you will never forget.

Pigs looking for food can be seen on the high plateau at the right time. When we arrived at 11:00 a.m. and until shortly before the return trip at ~4 p.m., there was none to be seen. Only shortly before departure they came from all corners :-). They probably hide during the hot part of the day and only come out of their shady spots when it's cooler. This was already the case at 4:00 p.m. due to the overcast sky. So don't be surprised if there aren't any "little pigs" grunting around at first. They are there - you just don't see them ;-)
