In the heart of the border triangle, at the gates of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Germany, lies the Château de Preisch. It was once a stately castle that the nearby medieval town of Rodemack had to defend. The castle was destroyed in 1680, but the size of the feudal estate at the time can still be seen from the moats in the imposing park of today's castle. It was built by Conrad de Soetern and Marguerite de Mérode at the beginning of the 17th century and consists of two areas. The expansion was carried out in the 17th and 18th centuries and two U-shaped building complexes were created - the castle complex and the country building.
