This place of worship, the chapel "Saint-Michel-de-Cousson", was dedicated to the Archangel Michael. The name (coming from the Hebrew language) means “Who is like God?” He is often depicted - in paintings or as a statue - with a flaming sword, and occasionally a lance. Michael is - together with Raphael and Gabriel, occasionally Uriel is also included - one of the three or four archangels who (according to human understanding) occupy the highest rank in the heavenly hierarchy of angelic beings. Their common feast day in the saints' calendar is September 29th.

This little chapel, which seems to have been balanced on its rocky outcrop by a divine hand, has nothing extraordinary in itself. On the other hand, what is extraordinary is its location and the breathtaking view that we have from its promontory.

Entrages, although located close to Dignes-les-Bains is "an end of the world". The road leading to it ends in a cul-de-sac. This situation ensures the villagers and its visitors a great tranquility. The village is surrounded by beautiful nature made up of wild meadows, rocky bars, beautiful wooded hills, and outcrops of black marl. At the end of this village, no more roads, but hiking trails which take you in particular to the summit of Cousson which, with an altitude of 1,516 meters and with its characteristic shape, is easily spotted in the landscape.
